Springin' into Memories!

Hello, so it is the end of another month, which as I am sure you can guess means another month full of memories to report! :) ( I don't know if Springin' is a word, but it matched the theme of my titles so I went with it! haha) I can't believe March is already over, I feel like I just wrote about February not too long ago. [Although time seems to be flying by in "barbie blog land" school seems to be dragging for me this semester. I feel like I should have been done with these classes ages ago!] This month I don't feel like had as many large exciting events, and if you aren't in school some of the events I am going to discuss won't seem that important, but trust me they are! haha!!

Okay to start this month off I went to a shoulder specialist, FINALLY!!! I was terrified! I am not big on doctors and going to see a new doctor I have never met before was not top on my list. But I was a big girl and did it anyways. I am so excited to, be seeing a specialist, I am hoping it helps the process move along! So funny story when I was in there, a nurse takes me to the little room. She tells me I am going to get x-rays done so I need to undress and put on this robe. I do as told and go get the x-rays. I am taken back to the room, and told to change back into my clothes and then the doctor will come in...... I am not even fully dressed when this guy walks in. [remember I have never met this doctor so I don't have a clue what he looks like], so I am frantically throwing my clothes on! [now I don't know about you but I would assume it is common sense, if you walk in on someone you say "oh sorry, and shut the door".... not this guy he slowly walks in and takes a seat.] So my first meeting of my doctor was quite the adventure. But we talked and he signed me up for physical therapy!

Then March 8th hit! The last day before spring break... and has any student would know this day is torture because all you can think about is your break! And of course the Accounting professors decide that means test day. So I had an Intermediate Two and Corporate Taxation Exams both that day! I was so stressed, it was so hard to decide which one to study when, and how to even study for them. So I left that day thinking well I hope I didn't fail........ drum roll..... I got 92% on one and 90% on the other!!!! I wish I had a picture to show you of my face when I saw the scores, I was so so excited!!!!

VOCAL POINT!!! Okay so any of you that watched the Sing-Off or are from Utah County probably know who Vocal Point is... if you do not then you are missing out, and i highly recommend you looking them up. My  mom got tickets to see them live. It was a fantastic show! I loved getting to hear all the amazing things they can do with their voices, it  was fun for me to see all the different parts and roles each of them do. The beat-boxer was incredible, I can't even explain all the different noises he can make, let alone all the ones he can make at the same time! Hearing them sing, made me miss the days in life where I had time to just sit in my room and sing my little heart out, or the plays I was involved in, or the choirs I loved so dearly! Singing used to be my everything, and my way to express myself... that has dwindled slowly sense I have come to college, and I have truly missed it this year! [So new goal... sing loud and proud, and sing more often! :) I know really challenging goal] That weekend was Brit's birthday so it was fun to be home for that, and get to celebrate it with her and my family at dinner and playing games!

SpRinG BrEaK!!! (haha) Okay so spring break was such an amazing break from school! I worked all week on my online class trying to complete the class within the week... that didn't happen but I currently only need to take the final which I can take whenever I want and then the class is finished! :) I worked ever single day over spring break! It ended up being so great, I loved actually getting to be a the store and make progress on a lot of the different projects that needed to get done. It was also fun to get to work with people that I never get to see. I most definitely live to work than work to live. (I mean right now in my life I wouldn't survive without working, but I love working I always have, I love managing thing, doing projects and seeing progress in something)

My family!!!

So this is what happens when you finally get a Brother!
(Which by the way I have one of the best ones!)

Kimberly Marie Labrum!!

My Second ALL Girl Family!!

The first Aggie Win of the Season!!! I Love being an Aggie!!

Guess What?? You should all be so proud of me! Sterling took me to see my very first Jazz game! It was a terrific game, we played Thunder and WON! It was so much fun, so thank you Sterling! Later that week was the Spring Scrapbooking Expo! It was a blast and also some of the longest days ever! haha, I felt like I had a smile glued on my face every time a customer walked by. Thursday I didn't get to bed til one, woke up at five. We left the expo at midnight and then came home and designed and put together three more packets until two am, because we had sold out of so many things. We then left for the expo again at seven the next day and didn't get home and asleep til later that night again. So I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my family and support my mom on her amazing talents. By the way if you haven't looked at how cool the pages my mom designs are go to www.myscrapbookzone.com they are so so fun! If you don't scrap book these pages will make you want to start! :) Oh P.s. the day before the expo I took a cost exam... and after he threw out some questions I ended up with an 84%!!!! I was so so happy, that was an incredible score for a cost test! Some how I did amazing on all my tests in March, it was most definitely a lucky month for me! Maybe I am Irish or something! ;)

Mondays are some of the craziest days of the week. I work, homework, fhe, meetings usually and much much more. This last monday we officially signed for our summer contracts we move in May 7th!!! I can't even begin to explain my excitement! May's blog will most definitely have tons of pictures of our new place. At FHE that monday we did a picture scavenger hunt, my team won some of the prizes... we seriously got one of the best prizes you could get! ......drum roll.... we won some little water guns! And boy do we love them so! We had a full on water fight in the middle of our house! :) As water is flying every where Megan G. is screaming "We probably shouldn't be doing this in the house!!!" but we don't even slow down we are running, screaming and spraying as fast as ever. Then Megan T. Screams "AAAHH! We don't even have any paper towels to clean this up!!!" Did  that stop us? haha nope I think not! We played and played until we were all wet enough that we had to stop or our gun had run out of water! I love my roommates so so very much! They seriously help me survive everyday in this craziness we call our lives of school and work and trying to have a life! haha!

Anyways, this month kind of had a bunch more tiny random memories than anything else but it was still a terrific month! I am doing everything I can to follow the quote on January's memories! I love my life and I know that each day can bring something new!! :)

" Life is like walking through wet cement. Anywhere you go, anything you do, you're going to leave a mark so we might as well make it a mark we are proud to call our own!!! "

Lovin' the Memories!

Hi Everyone!! :) Time to hear about my February memories!
I participated in my first facial mask. We had a total girls night when Holly (Megan's Sister) and Rebecca came up to Logan to visit us. Of course getting me to do the facial mask was a definite challenge, not really my thing but I must say it was a blast and a memory I will never forget! We also gave ourselves glitter toes that were so so cute, sadly they lasted less than 24hours. [We are currently in the process of perfecting our technique, I will keep you updated] It was fun to just be silly and get Holly and Rebecca excited to come to college.
Happy Valentines Day! I have some of the best roommates in the entire world. I don't think I have told you all about them yet, but I love them so so much! I live with Megan Greenhalgh, Megan Toone, and Kelsey McKee! These three amazing girls have been in my ward since freshman year and we never did anything together. I strongly believe that we were suppose to meet and suppose to know each other, and we just weren't getting the memo, which is why Heavenly Father took matters into his own hands and finally made us live together. Which has been one of the greatest blessings. I have grown so much spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. They have truly helped me become the person I am meant to be. For Valentine's Day, we sent out the best Valentines you can every imagine.
"I mustache you a question??? Will you be my VALENTINE??"
I sent this to my parents on a homemade card and a picture of us in our mustaches! (Which are legit mustaches that were totally hairy... which if you breath in through your nose hard enough you can get hair up in your nose! haha gross!)

Would you be my Valentine? ;)

Megan, Kim, Megan, Rebecca, and Holly!

Living my Life to the Fullest!

On Valentines Day I went with Trevor to Texas Roadhouse and to the Vow. (Which is a very cute show.) We had a fun night together!
Another funny thing that happened this month was Megan and I trying to go to bed early and failing. For the past week I have been exhausted. It hits like ten thirty - eleven and I can barely move. So Megan and I keep trying to go to bed early we say our good-nights and then go to our rooms... yet no sleeping occurs! There were two nights that I went into my room at like eleven and I was awake doing things in my room till like one - one thirty in the morning. We have both failed, so we decided from now on when we say good night we mean we are going to bed, if we aren't going to fall asleep we might as well keep playing with each other! :)
WE SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT!!! I have a new apartment! Any of you that want to come visit can, I will be living there starting this summer. [and then in the fall] I would LOVE to show it off! It is called Edgehill Court! It is so so cute, thus far I will still be living with Megan, Kelsey and Megan! Our new landlord is a very nice guy. He is super strict, and he definitely just lays down the law, but he also is going to be a very fatherly type of a landlord. He is going to be the type of guy that he won't mess around, but that he will be there to protect us and help us with things. The apartment is a townhouse. It is much more like a cute little home. I love it. It has a family room, living room, its own laundry and then two rooms up stairs and two rooms down stairs. It is going to be amazing! I can't even explain how excited Megan and I are. We went looking all over the place and when we finally found this place it just felt perfect! I can't wait to move in!!! I will share pictures once we move in!
This Saturday we had a Stake Relief Society Women's Conference. It was incredible! The theme was "Look Up, Step Up, Cheer Up!" It was exactly what I needed. There is so much I would love to share, but it would take me forever to write it all up. But one of my favorite quotes was when we were talking about Logan and the smog. We live where there is a lot of inversion and so the air is thick and is a large burden on us, but if you go up far enough into the canyon you can look back down and look down on the smog. You at that point are standing above the yuck and hurt. "The sun is always shining, you just need to determine the altitude you want to fly your life at." I love this quote! This was for the Look up workshop, it helped me open my eyes to say all I have to do is look up. That no matter what yuck and hurt there is around me I can always find the sun and the lord by looking up. Another great thing was to just cheer up! I just need to remember the things in my life that make me happy and make time to do them in my life. They are important, I can't just do all the hard and long things in life, Heavenly Father wants me to be happy and love the life I am living! So that is the plan! BE HAPPY, BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!!!
The last AWESOME, thing that we discovered was the cave in my room! Yes I just said a cave in my room! It is absolutely fabulous! Megan and I discovered it and we played in it, for like two hours, we fell asleep in it and everything! If you come visit we will show you and invite you into my cave. :) But I just can't do it justice.

Cruisin' Through the memories!

Hi!!! My phrase this school year has been to keep making the memories! I am going to start sharing those memories with  all of you! My family just went on a seven day cruise. Any of you that know my family know that we go on a vacation every year.... well they go on a vacation once a year...I haven't been on a vacation for over three and a half years. I needed this vacation so bad and it was exactly what I needed. Although we went during school, which was one of the most stressful times in my life (trying to get everything ready and completed before I left.) But I figured everything out and went to paradise with my family!

Some of the memories that I will never ever forget is what I ate:
  • Alligator Fritters
  • Shark
  • Escargot (aka snails)
  • Frog Legs
None of these I particularly enjoyed; however, if I had to eat any of them over again I would eat Alligator! (By far)

Day 1 in Cabo:
We sat on the beach all day drinking Miami Vises, and shopped from our seats as the workers came and showed us all the fun different trinkets they had made. We then rode on a banana boat in the ocean around Cabo's famous arches. I of course was terrified...... our driver even saw some whales which he sped after... sadly we didn't see any while on the banana boat, but that would have totally freaked me out. (I mean seriously what if it came up right next to us.)

Day 2 in Cabo:
We went snorkeling at two different locations. My favorite part was the whale watching, which we spent more time doing than we spent in the actual water. I have never seen a whale so up close. It was like a perfect picture where the tail comes up and splashes back down on the water. We also so two dolphins jumping in the water. It was a magical day for me to see all these amazing creatures in the wild instead of in some kind of cage. When we finally went snorkeling we got to see a snowflake snake... which is a black and white snake. BUT OF COURSE there were jelly fish. I can't go snorkeling without being stung by one of those. Although I got stung it was another incredible day.

Puerto Vallarta:
Today I experienced what its like to fly! We did an extreme canopy excursion. We sped across the ocean in a Zodiac. Went up the side of a mountain in a huge jeep, then rode straight up the mountain on some horses. It was quite the climb to finally get to the top. But the way down was fantastic. I zip lined, repelled down into a pool of water, climbed down the side of a waterfall and much much more it was a blast.

At the bottom of the waterfall! We did it!
Can you fly.... Cuz I Can!!!
 Puerto Vallarta is Gorgeous!
 Soaring to new heights!

Our fruit punch... our weakness through out the entire trip!
Ashley and I starting our tan!
Cabo San Lucas thank you for sharing your beauty with me!

Anyways that is my memories for the month of January! Here is a quote to leave you with, to get you up out of your rut and start doing something with your life, but not only do something like work of school.... Create memories that will last you a life time!
"Life is worth living, So live the life you have!!"
Love, Barbie!
